My name is Ann-Maree Tedaldi. I am a single mother whome, after a 7-month journey of housing insecurity, consolidated all of her resources to buy a home. I didn’t want the worry of updating a home or costly repairs. Dec 22, 2022 I purchased a new construction home with the assurances that it had passed city inspections and included a 1-2-10-year home warranty to cover any issues I might have.

Shortly after moving in, I became aware that there was something really wrong with the home. Three years and THOUSANDS of dollars later, I have a home that not only needs costly repairs, but will not sell without disclosures and heavy financial loss. To illustrate how poorly my home was built, I appealed my property taxes and, when presented with inspection reports, the Tom Green County Appraisal District, LOWERED my assessed property value by nearly $80,000.00!!

I’ve created this website to not only share my journey but to bring awareness to a systemic problem where home builders are not held accountable, and City officials hand out Certificates of Occupancy when homes do not meet the Texas Minimum Construction Standards.

Home ownership in San Angelo, TX, is risky business.
